The Soap
Box Derby is a youth racing program which has run nationally since 1934.World
Championship finals are held each August at Derby Downs in Akron, Ohio.
SoapBox Derby racing was brought back to Tallahassee in 2004 after being gone
and sorely missed for many years. |

The mission of the Tallahassee Region Soap Box Derby is to
involve families together with children in the community to help build
character, perserverance while building future leaders. Regardless of the
outcome of the race, each child is a winner with memories to cherish the rest
of their lives. |
